Some Important Notes:

Going Forward all Hartzell propellers sold and overhauled by Canadian Propeller will be lubricated with GN3058

Repairs on Hartzell Propellers that require re-lubrication will be done with GN3058

Current in service Hartzell props must continue to be lubricated with Aeroshell 5/6 until next overhaul or disassembly by Propeller shop

 

Aeroshell and Nyco grease cannot be combined.                          If accidentally mixed:

  • Propeller requires disassembly and cleaning which can only be performed by an approved propeller shop.  
  • Cleaning must be complied within the following: 
  • 3 months or 30 flights whichever comes first

To prevent any mixups with multiple greases:

  • Propellers greased with GN3058 will have a yellow warning label on either the cylinder or piston depending on application per SL-61-366 
  • The logbook will have a yellow label on the front indicating lubrication with GN3058.  
  • Compliance with HC-SL-61-366 will be indicated on the Form One within the logbook 
  • We have included yellow warning labels for your grease guns
